Ryan Haaksma, DPM

Ryan Haaksma, DPM, is a podiatric surgeon with a special interest in minimally-invasive procedures, diabetic limb salvage, bunion and hammertoe correction, and sports medicine. Dr. Haaksma received his undergraduate degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, followed by his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree from Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. He continued his postgraduate training in Chicago through Rush University Medical Center.

While in residency, Dr. Haaksma trained under the region’s most respected podiatric and orthopedic surgeons. His advanced instruction in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery is a key contribution to Modern Foot & Ankle, extending the group’s range of new techniques in surgical intervention.

Born and raised in the southern suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Haaksma is thrilled to have traded the cold for sunny Tampa. Outside of the office, he has his hands full with his wife, young daughter, baby sons, and two dogs. Dr. Haaksma is also an avid sports fan who enjoys travel and golf.
